Why are we changing our name?

Our name has outgrown the products and services we provide. We offer investment services, financial planning, and estate planning along with great lending rates. While we remain a federal credit union (that will not change), it was necessary to change our name to AERO Financial to better align with the varied products and services we offer.

Has another financial institution bought the Credit Union?

No. We have not been sold or merged with another financial institution. We are changing our name to better reflect the products and services we offer.

Is AERO Financial still a federal credit union?

Absolutely, yes! Our legal name remains AERO Federal Credit Union. You will still see the name AERO Federal Credit Union on legal documents such as account and loan paperwork. AERO Financial is our new trade name and will be reflected on the website, branch signage, and other marketing materials.

What will happen to employees? Is anyone getting laid off?

Employees will stay the same, and there are no layoffs as part of this name change.

Will the core values of the credit union stay the same?

Yes. We know how we came to be and the members we serve. Those guiding principles will continue to be a part of who we are. The new name is about helping more people gain access to our products and services by knocking down barriers to membership and aligning our name with helping individuals with their financial journey.

Will the ownership of the credit union remain the same?

Yes. That will not change. The credit union will remain 100% owned by you, the members.

IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO DO AS A RESULT?

Is there anything that members need to do because of the name change?

There should be little impact on you as a member. Your account number(s) will remain the same, as will all your products and services. Your online banking login and passwords will stay the same. Anything with the AERO Federal Credit Union name is still acceptable to use.

Will account number(s) change?

No, your account number(s) will remain the same.

Will the routing number change?

The routing number will not change. It will remain 322172904.

Can I continue to use my old checks?

Yes, you can continue to use your AERO Federal Credit Union checks until they run out. “AERO Financial” will be printed on your new checks when placing an order after the new name is in place.

Can I continue to use my AERO Federal Credit Union debit or credit cards?

Yes, you can continue to use your existing AERO Federal Credit Union debit and credit cards just as you have before. The name change does not affect the validity of your cards, and they will still work with the old name and logo. Once your card reaches expiration you will be sent a new card that will have the new AERO Financial name on it.

Will the website address change?

Yes, we will launch our new website, aerofinancial.com, on October 1st, 2024, along with the new name. Please use this new address to access our website and to log in to your digital banking account. The website will have a new look, increased functionality, and many new convenient features. You may notice that some services will continue to utilize the aerofed.net domain including online banking. We will maintain this domain for the foreseeable future, and you can trust content and websites that utilize it as we transition to the aerofinancial.com domain.

Will phone numbers and email addresses change?

Our phone numbers will remain the same. Our email addresses will change to @aerofinancial.com. Any emails sent to the old @aerofed.net email addresses will continue to be delivered to their intended recipients for the foreseeable future. While we will be able to receive messages to both email domains, we recommend communicating via the new @aerofinancial.com email addresses whenever possible to avoid future confusion.

Will access to Digital Banking or the mobile app change?

Your digital banking login information and password will not change and can be used on our website or with the mobile app. You can log in to digital banking on our new website starting October 1st, 2024: aerofinancial.com.


The mobile app will update on October 1st, 2024, or within the following days shortly thereafter. If you do not have automatic updates turned on for your phone, you may need to manually update the app when the update becomes available. You may see the old AERO logo or login until you update your app.

Do I need to change my direct deposit or automatic payments?

All direct deposits, payroll deductions, automatic drafts, and other ACH services will remain the same. Your payments will process without any action on your part.

How should I make payments on my loans with the credit union?

You can continue to make payments as you normally would.

Will the name change impact fees, loan rates, and deposit rates?

Neither rates nor fees will be affected by the new name. Rates and fees do fluctuate, but they adjust in response to market conditions, not our name.

How does this affect business digital services like ACH payments or Wires in Digital Banking?

You will be able to continue to use all your current services within digital banking as usual. The routing and account numbers will not change.
